Hi Ari, just back from an over 1000km long journey weekend trip to meet an old school friend at a Polocrosse meet in Roma, Central Queensland . A hybrid sport between Polo and Lacrosse. Vigorous and fast and a lot to do with horses.

A good weekend for various reasons . Did ride a lot when young. But not like what I saw.

Now to main message. Did share your Bibimbap recipe in our group of about 15 people over a campfire. A big hit as an idea, as on lookout for good meal that is easy and quick and transportable and low energy need. Though portable generators have changed things.

So, Bibimbap may be cool at western Qld meets one day. Stay well.

ChatGPT translated “남미새” as “South American bird.” - this cracked me up 😁 GPT is like an old man trying to find the etymology without being aware of the current trends!

Good Morning Ari from sunny Queensland Australia. Winter here is extremely mild and more like some places summer. It is our dry season and a good time to travel, as generally less risk of cyclones and flooding.

Agree with Kelenna. On my to eat list. Canned tuna, mackerel and salmon were big part of my COVID pantry.

And I think you snuck in a news article or two with you language segment, or at least gave me a few "rabbit holes' to go down. I found Gyeongseong Creature an interesting drama, though aspects of it quite horrifying as I am sure it was meant to be, esp with its mimicking of the real Horror Camp of Unit 731 in Harbin. I am sure you my no a lot of its history as do young Chinese people, but I am told that it is not so in Japan. If you want to see a series of english language articles of high quality journalism, Google, The Guardian Unit 731, and a string of them will pop.

And was fascinated by the explanition of suid terminology. Again found The Squid Game rivetting but scary. There is a special english book called Lord of the Flies ( which should be available free online somewher), which shres some of this premise. Also the real life story of The Wreck of the Batavia (in 1600s off coast of Western Australia). The Wiki is good and there are several books.

And last the Han So-hee and Hyeri thing. How much of people's lives are lived, debated

, bullied and crushed on lin. I know it happens here, but it seems to the next level.

The interesting and at times scary aspects of human nature.

You must have high standards for judging male beauty. He is taller than average Aussie and Korean males, looks slim and fit for a 37 yr old and looked pretty OK on his Google images.

And poor old real squids; a fascinating jet propelled marine creature that is also v tasty.

Our week has been dominated by the incredible tragedy at Bondi Junction shopping plaza and the stabbing of a Christian bishop; both in Sydney. If you try ABC News. Maybe more on these as explanations and such unfold.

Your Zoom ideas seem pretty cool, but at present not able to participate due to lack of tech.

The Mafia game is a good concept but can be surprisingly stressful, so a good idea to let people know they can tap out, with no shame. Also to do simple debrief at the end and asking how they felt.

Respect and Regards, Christoffa.

Wow, that cucumber bibimbap recipe looks so refreshing, I should definitely try it out!

I think it's pretty interesting that both Korean and English have slang for pick-me girls or guys that mean the same thing but have completely different origins! Thanks for the lesson!
