I'm so glad that they have diagnosed the problem and that their treatment is working. Herniated discs and bone spurs can be difficult to address, but it sounds like you are doing it well! Keep up the self care!
Oh, I wanted to tell you a fun tidbit. As I mentioned before, I've been listening to the old episodes from your podcast, and a few weeks ago I listened to you read the passage from Stephen Greenblatt's book _Swerve_. I was unfamiliar with the book, but not unfamiliar with the author. When I was in college at Berkeley University, in Northern California, Greenblatt was a professor there, and I took one of his classes on Shakespeare my senior year. He was (and I assume still is) a wonderful lecturer, funny and moving and smart as can be.

And the avoidance of investgation and response to the Itaewon Tragedy is not so unusual, but terribly sad and bad. My respect to all those families confronting the powers and the respectful way they did this.
And Starwars ! Old enough to have seen the first three movies in picture theatres. So, so good then. Will look up Padme (Natalie Portman)'s quote, as so cool.

This reply is mainly about a suggested article for Travellers to Oz (Australia) by you and Safe Swimming in summer on our beautiful beaches. The trigger is a report of the sad death of a Korean honeymooner at a Manly beach, at a beach I have been to. Not sure what went wrong.
But the simple rule here is not to swim on a beach without Surf Life Saving patrol, and always within the Flags. And not to swim after evening.
